Finding the FLOW

one of the hardest things about drawing is finding the flow or gesture of the pose. it has nothing to do with the individual pieces and everything to do with how rhythms transfer through the body. it usually takes me a few sketches before i decipher the correct flow. the goal of drawing for me is to emphasis that while playing down the "bumps and lumps" that may be there, but don't contribute to the idea.

I'd just like to say I am enjoying where you are going with your work. I have a poster of a Red-Sonja-ish character you did for a Dragonlance calendar, and it is one of my favorite paintings. I haven't seen nearly enough of your work on the net, and I'm looking forward to following this blog.
